My First Hiking Experience

Last year, my school organized a hiking trip to Mount Batur in Bali. It was my first time climbing a mountain, and I felt both excited and nervous. We started the journey at midnight so that we could reach the summit before sunrise. With flashlights in our hands, we walked in the darkness, guided by our teacher and a local guide.

The path was steep and rocky, and I found it quite challenging. Several times, I felt like giving up, but my friends encouraged me to keep going. Along the way, I could hear the sound of crickets and feel the cold night air. Despite the difficulty, the sense of adventure made the journey unforgettable.

Finally, after two hours of climbing, we arrived at the summit. The moment I saw the sun rising slowly above the horizon, I felt all the tiredness disappear. The golden rays of sunlight touched the clouds and the lake below, creating a breathtaking view that I will never forget. We took pictures, enjoyed breakfast together, and shared stories about the climb.

That hiking trip taught me an important lesson about perseverance and teamwork. If I had given up halfway, I would have missed the most beautiful sunrise of my life. I realized that sometimes, the most difficult journeys lead to the most rewarding experiences.
